ISO 22000 Certification

Comprehensive control, transparency, and trust throughout the entire food chain

ISO 22000 is the globally recognized standard for Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
It applies to all organizations in the food chain – from agricultural production, processing, transport, and packaging to retail, catering, and e-commerce.

The standard combines HACCP principles with the requirements of ISO 9001, creating a comprehensive system for the identification, evaluation, and control of food safety risks.
This helps ensure compliance with legal requirements, strengthen consumer confidence, and improve process efficiency.

Key requirements of ISO 22000

ISO 22000 is built on four key pillars that together form a flexible management system:

  • Interactive Communication – between all participants in the food chain, including suppliers, customers, regulatory authorities, and internal teams.
  • Food Safety Management System – based on the PDCA cycle (Plan–Do–Check–Act), ensuring continuous process improvement and risk prevention.
  • Prerequisite Programs (PRPs) – hygienic and operational conditions necessary for a safe environment, including sanitation procedures, pest control, personal hygiene, and product traceability.
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) – identification and assessment of biological, chemical, and physical hazards at each step of the process with the goal of eliminating or minimizing them to an acceptable level.
